I made this advent calendar today from a piece of mdf .

The other side of the naughty sign says nice so you can alternate depending on how your child/children are behaving in the run up to Christmas.

The numbers are magnetic and the extra numbers are stored in an envelope on back - keeps everything nice and tidy and makes storage a breeze so we will be able to use this year after year.

I love how this turned out the colours although traditional paired with the cute snowman image gives it a fun feel.
